THE SHORT ANSWER

What happens in a child's first English trial lesson?

In an OpenTalk trial, your child joins a live 25-minute 1-on-1 English lesson. The teacher uses age-appropriate conversation and activities to observe how the child listens and responds. Afterwards, the family receives a practical level and next-step recommendation.

Before the lesson

Create and verify the parent account, make the one-time 20 SAR payment, and share a preferred time. OpenTalk support then confirms the teacher and final lesson time. Prepare a quiet place, stable connection, camera, and working audio.

At the beginning

The teacher first helps the child feel comfortable through a greeting, simple questions, and a familiar topic. A beginner may point, choose, repeat, or answer with one word before moving toward a fuller response.

During the lesson

The teacher uses conversation, listening prompts, visuals, and age-appropriate practice. The purpose is not a stressful exam. It is to see what kind of language the child understands, how they respond, and what support helps them participate.

After the lesson

The family receives a practical observation of speaking and listening, a suitable starting level, and guidance for the next step. You can then decide whether to continue with Flexible Credit or an optional lesson package. There is no recurring subscription.

What parents should observe

Notice whether the child feels safe enough to try, whether the teacher adjusts the language, and whether the feedback is specific. One trial cannot prove long-term results, but it can show whether the teaching style and format appear suitable.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions parents also ask

Does my child need to prepare?

Does the trial start a subscription?
